The Buddha statue is made of lagerstromia wood, in a standing position on the lotus pedestal. On top of the head of the statue is a unisa, spiral hair. The Buddha’s monastic robe covered on left shoulder. The left hand holds a part of his monk’s robe, the right hand in the mudra posture. The statue was found in Binh Hoa - Long An.
The Buddha statue is considered a typical work for statuary of Oc Eo culture in III - IV century.
The Buddha statue is recognized as a National Treasure (phase 2) according to Decision No. 2599/QD-TTg, Hanoi, December 30th, 2013 of the Prime Minister.
