According to Decision 1426/QĐ-TTg October 01, 2012 and Decision 2599/QĐ-TTg December 30, 2013 and Decision 1821/QĐ-TTg December 24, 2018 of the Prime Minister, sixty seven Vietnam national treasures were recognized. Among them, twelve national treasures are the Museum of History in Ho Chi Minh city, make up one-sixth of the whole country.
Especially, the twelve national treasures belonged to the art of Buddhism and Hinduism of Funan - Óc Eo culture (1st - 7th centuries) and Champa culture (2nd - 17th centuries) in the South and Central Vietnam. These masterpieces not only expressed historical, cultural, religious values but also aesthetic values of Vietnam ethnic groups. It contributed to the plentifulness of the Vietnam cultural heritage.
